Toshiba comes through in a big way with their 42" Custom Series Plasma which is loaded full of features to keep smiles on everyone's faces. It offers 852 x 480 resolution with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 1500 cd/m2 brightness. Picture information is constantly being analyzed thanks to the HD Dynamic Contrast feature, so parts of the picture that contain the most detailed information are always enhanced. This feature allows for a sharper, deeper image with super rich colors. Adding to the quality and hype surrounding this display is its High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), and since it includes the DVI digital video signal and multi-channel digital audio signals on a single cable, the need for having multiple cables to hookup the display is eliminated. The 42DPC85 also uses PixelPure AT (Adaptive Technology), Color Temperature Control, Movie and Sports modes, and TheaterWide mode to ensure nothing but the finest images are displayed.
