Summary:
First off during the initial warranty period the Main Board failed and was replaced by Sharp in a timely fashion (1 week). Shortly there after that Sound Board failed and was repaired by Sharp in a timely fashion (2 weeks). These failures convinced me that I should sign up for extended Warranty at about $139.00 year. A few months after that the Main Board failed again and was repaired by Sharp in a NOT so timely fashion (3 weeks), the invoice repair amount was $565 at no cost to me except for the extended warranty.
You MUST have extended warranty or a money tree to have a Sharp OR just buy a Sony or Samsung to start with. My experience with Sharp has been less than good.
