Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
The 4330HD has a great picture when viewing DVD or HDTV. The ability to go from 4:3 to 16:9 using wide mode is really great. The remote receiver has numerous inputs for DVD,VCR,Cable, etc. which makes it easy to hook up. Split screen is a big plus when 2 programs are on that you would like to watch. Say two football games for example.
The one big problem is the scaling of standard defination signals! Even when its a Digital signal as with Satelite signals, the picture leaves much to be desired. Faces, numbers, subtitles, and even movie credits appear fuzzy and at times are not even readable!
Whether its this Plasma or another make sure that you see how it looks in real world use, i.e. non HDTV, before putting down your hard earned money. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run if you insist on seeing pictures in all available input sources.(DVD,VCR,standard Cable,Satelite etc.)

Strengths:
Easy to set-up and use. Attached speakers have really great sound as well a volume. It looks and is really high-tech and when viewing DVD or High defination picture is fantastic!

Weaknesses:
Converting non HD signals to at least a good 480I quality picture. Off air broadcast signals make better quality pictures than Satelite Digital! Gray bars on each side when watching in the 4:3 mode. Black is much better and not nearly as distracting.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Some quick thoughts:

- Great picture and sharp looking frame/cabinet...optional speakers finish the look off nicely
- The external input/output box makes things easy for hook-ups now and in the future....maybe it can be upgraded for future I/O types?
- breathtaking using Elite progressive DVD as source.
- haven't had a chance to view HDTV on it yet but the upconversion makes even decent cable broadcasts look stunning.
- no dead pixels here
- the factory settings aren't perfect...put in AVIA and spend a few minutes tweaking.
- Remember garbage in,garbage out. It'll display accurately whatever you put in
- I was surprised at how well it stretched 4:3 to fit the screen using "Wide" setting.
- multiple picture/audio settings saved for each input...nice feature

Strengths:
Superior picture and excellent build quality. The external input/output box makes tons of sense. Nice features.

Weaknesses:
Price in Canada. BUT...compared to the price of non HD displays it's not too bad. Warranty only 1 year.

Review NaN of , from San Jose, CA

Price Paid:  $5162.00 from mail order

Summary:
Great price, and the best picture you can get on a plasma television today. Set comes with everything you need to set it up and get it working. The only problem with the set is the customer support that is supposed to back up the product. Unfortunantly pioneer won't do anything aboout burnt pixels unless you have a large group of them clumped together near the center of the screen. For the price paid, they should really do more to back up their product and make things right within reason for the customer.

Strengths:
Best picture and most for your money.

Weaknesses:
pioneer customer support.
