Price Paid:  $2700.00 from p.c. richard's

Summary:
I have this tv for almost a year now and it never stops amazing me on how great a tv it is.I originally went to the store to mess around with this tv and prove that plasma tv's are not as they claim to be. After several days and many hours of torturing this set with every imaginable dvd I own to push it to all extremes I told the salesman.."I have to have one". Little did I know this tv would would become the hottest selling plasma on the market with months long waiting lists. The colors and the black levels are excellent. DVD's and HDTV look fantastic. I especially enjoyed the Winter Olympics which made you feel like you were right there. Any live sporting event in HD looks super. As far as regular tv shows in HD, THE LETTERMAN SHOW and JAY LENO at night are super looking. Now I just hooked up Sony's new dvp-ns75h upconverting dvd player and once again this tv shows how well it is put together. The picture quality with this new super dvd player never looked better. If you can find one..get one. This year's tv.. ..the 42px60u..is not as good as the 50u..Absolutley the best plasma tv you can buy with a picture quality that is superior to any type of tv you can buy. The best looking tv I have ever owned..and I have owned some real top of the line goodies.

Strengths:
black levels, colors,excellent video quality

Weaknesses:
could use a 2nd hdmi input

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
