from Good Guys Summary: This is a very good Plasma. Without a doubt the best for the price if you get a good deal. Not quite as good as the Fujitsu, as the resolution is not as high. There is deffinitely some false coutouring, particularly with poor source material like that coming from my standard def DirecTv Tivo, but DVD's and HD look incredible. The biggest problem with this TV is that the DVI connection does not work with my brand new Sony SAT-HD300 DirecTv/Terrestrial HD Tuner. The tuner is fine, it was checked out on several other TV's. The DVI on the JVC in the store also did not work. Apparently JVC is working on the problem. I considered returning it because of the problem, but have decided to keep it, as there is nothing else as good for anywhere near the price and the component in looks fine. Strengths: Great Design - this is the best looking Plasma TV on the market. The Black frame against the silver speakers is beautiful. Looks a lot like the new Panasonics, but much better. Also, the sound is very good. There are right and left side-front speakers, right and left bottom-front speakers, and a small subwoofer. Finally, the seperate tuner box allows you to plug everything into it, so that you can run only one cable to the TV - excellent. Weaknesses: DVI connection does not work. Not enough inputs - only 4 without the DVI, and only 2 are component or S-vid. The other 2 are composite only. Who still has composite video that they'd want to hook up to a $5000 plasma??!! Similar Products Used: Looked at Fujitsu (Best quality without question), Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi, Pioneer, and several of the real cheapies - Gateway, V, etc.
