Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $13000.00 from Audio Center MTL

Summary:
EXCELLENT product, HDTV support and resolution 1024*1024 if you want to use your plasma to connect your PC, this screen is what you need. From what I found in my research there is only 2 manufacturers of Plasma screen (Fujitsu and NEC) they OEM their products to Sony and other companies. I evaluated the option of purchasing a Projection unit prior buying the plasma but when I analized the picture quality I soon decided to favor Plasma. Advice, go with Digital Source ie. Satellite or digital Cable it is worth it, and don't be cheap with your DVD player too, your will be in a position to appreciate it. ANOTHER great thing with Plasma screen: you don't have "lines" like a regular big screen TV, to me this was the biggest improvement switching to plasma. My space was limited so I was able to fix it to the wall over my fireplace.

Strengths:
Quality of picture, number of inputs (including component, SVGA. This TV is build to support virtually all known TV signals on the planet.

Weaknesses:
Does not support "Closed Caption" decoding as some regular TV offer.

Similar Products Used:
Sony, Marrantz, NEC

Review NaN of , from Melbourne, Australia

Price Paid:  $14000.00 from Carlton Audio Visual

Summary:
(Note: This review is for the Fujitsu PDS-4242)

This is with out doubt the best 42" plasma available. The picture is simply stunning, with brilliant colours and superb detail.
Looks great with HDTV and equally good when feed a high quality DVD signal.
Has fans, but they are barely noticable with volume muted.
Built-in amps lack power and clarity, but thats what you would expect from 9 watts.
Has good array of inputs with little need for separate receiver box except for usual AV Receiver.
ALiS is great with you none the wiser to its operation apart from zero cell structure visible and HD picture quality.

New 43" still don't compare to this baby.

Strengths:
Best 42" picture available
Looks good even turned off!

Weaknesses:
Built-in amps
Cost! (but worth it)

Similar Products Used:
Sony 68cm Trintron
Tested every 42" on the market when purchased.
