Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $1400.00 from Hatts Owen Sound

Summary:
I have had this set for over a year now and still love it. HDTV's have come down a lot and should be looked at but for non-HD sets, this is still the best I have seen for the $. Ours is not using the audio section and I expect few people actually do, this is good because the audio really isn't (2 small speakers with wizzer cones).

The only issue I have had with this set so far is the the colour convergience. I seem to have to adjust the blue quite often. It is easy to do and there are 9 points on the screen that can be adjusted. I just don't like having to re-do the lower left area weekly. Apart from that, excellent set.

Strengths:
Piture quality and brightness. Very sharp picture in its price range.

Weaknesses:
See below.. Remote is a little lame, audio section sucks.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $1935.00 from Stereo Plus

Summary:
This is a projection TV I would recommend to any friend (actually did and he got it!). For the price, difficult to get better quality. Watching a DVD, a TV series or formula one racing (the reason I bought it in the first place!) is just an absolute blast.

Strengths:
Image is excellent. Best buy for the price. Easy menu for adjustments. Sound is also excellent and I agree with other reviewers about the sound quality. I also have a full Pro Logic sound system, but I enjoy the TV system just as much. I would recommend it to anyone. Convergence adjustment is easy. Easy to change the picture settings and store it in memory. You can still use the warm, cool and theater mode when you want.

Weaknesses:
Need to go through each choice to select video and tv input. Convergence needs to be ajdusted regularly for sharpest picture possible. I would not stay with factory default on picture settings. Use the memory and create your own...

Review 4 of 5

Summary:
This TV is a must have for anybody who is looking for a large projection TV at an excellent price. The picture quality is phenomenal. The audio is so good that I rarely turn on my Dolby Pro Logic audio system.

After receiving the TV, I fixed the convergence and played with the picture settings to get the very best picture I could. One piece of advice: DO NOT RELY ON THE FACTORY SETTINGS. Although the factory settings are OK, and the preset picture temperatures are OK (Cold, Warm, Theatre), they do the TV picture no justice. Play around with the picture settings until you find one that's right for you.

My biggest complaint is that I am constantly setting the convergence. Everytime I turn the TV off and back on, the convergence must be reset to ensure a sharp picture where the colors aren't bleeding. Other than this nuisance, I have no complaints. I own a Panasonic DVD player and the quality of sound and video is amazing.

I would recommend this TV to anybody looking for high quality at an acceptable price.

Strengths:
Audio, excellent picture, user friendly remote control

Weaknesses:
Must reset convergence CONSTANTLY!

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
I have really enjoyed this television. It is the first big screen television that I have owned and I could never do without one again. It has been wonderfully easy to use with inputs for everything (satellite, Nintendo 64, outdoor antenna, component DVD input, and Camcorder input in front). The picture is so bright it can be watched with pleasure in the brightest daylight. The surface of the screen is totally free of glare and does not seem to attract dust or dirt at all. I also like the easy to use convergence adjustment that let me sharpen the picture to perfection.

Strengths:
The picture quality on this television is excellent, the screen is bright with sharp images and beautiful color. The sound is very good for a television. The numerous video inputs are handy (3 RCA/"S" Video plus component video input for your DVD. Two tuner PIP. Nice caster wheels under unit allow it to be easily moved in your home.

Weaknesses:
Multifunction remote only operates TV/Cable/VCR, why not DVD? Everytime power goes out clock has to be reset. Must cycle through all video inputs to select the one you want. Protective screen cover must be purchased separately if desired.
