When I purchased the TV, 10/2000, I was in heaven. I never had a problem with it, except for the random convergences slips, that "just happened" WHen I moved the TV, I usually had to reconverge, and sometimes, I wowuld have to reset it, as it would slightly slip out. 8/20/01 the TYV flashed, and I was not able to reset the convergence. I called Toshiba, and they suggested "Sharper Video". They Replaced the DCU, then screwed up all the vertical convergence lines. I had them out 5 times to work on the TV, then called Toshiba to have a real company work on the problem. it took toshiba customer service (4) weeks to DECIDE to alow someone else to work on the TV. I even sent a letter outlining my issues, and complaints. When it was approved I called another company. They promptly sent someone out, and picked up my TV. They had my unit for (3) Weeks, and when they returned it, I immediately called the shop, and explained that NOTHING had changed. THey send a Tech out, who immediately saw the problem, and went back to discuss the problem. I am now in the process of contacting Toshiba to get a replacement, as this TV is obviously unrepairable. I am rating the value and overall rating very low Strengths:

Researched all Sony, Hitachi, 50 Screens when I searched for a TV for purchase
