from The Big Picture Summary: I purchased the TV for its excellent picture quality for the price
however I ran into delivery problems, quality problems with the TV
and customer service issues. Strengths: Good styling and good picture quality in spite of screen problems. Weaknesses: The Big Picture did not have the facilities
to deliver such a heavy TV and get it into
my basement. My neighbors helped.
The screen is bowed inward by over 1/4"
which causes reflective and viewing
distortion. This was partially mitigated
by their built in adjustment system that
can only be used in Technician mode.
Toshiba's customer service is horrible.
The customer is certainly not right in
their eyes. They made me feel like the
screen problem was my fault and I was
going to have to pay to even have them
look at it even though it was still under
warranty. Fortunately I found a Service
Representative that was willing to help Similar Products Used: Mitsubishi 50" project (own) and lots
of shopping around.
