Summary:
This TV was a steal and looks amazing. The only sad part is, when you watch DBS or TiVo, The flaws of MPEG compression become annoyingly apparent. The picture is too good for some signals. Hooked to a progressive DVD (I have the Tosh SD4700) and it looks like a photo, at any angle. It’s an amazing monitor. The room must be dark or the glare is annoying. The OSD is well done, 2 Colorstream Pro inputs make hookups handy. The remote is lame, TV, VCR, Cable are the only things it can control. Even my old Zenith remote was better. They put the picture right up to the edge of the case, and the 9 point convergence is good buy I like the Hitachi's auto convergence. This is a 2000 model TV so this may have been replaced in 2001 with auto-convergence, I don't know.

Strengths:
Picture, what else matters when looking at monitors

Weaknesses:
Remote control is limited
