Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $3499.00 from The Consumer Center

Summary:
I found the previous reviews of the Sony WEGA televison to be largely uninformative, and as a result felt it important to provide some sort of feedback for those who may be considering this piece of equipment.

Although this is my most recent addition to my home theater (less than a month), it has at least thus far been a positive experience. Although it could be found for less on the web, I elected to purchase locally due to having it set-up and local service.

I had understood through readings on CNET that the one complaint with this unit was its black level. My expereince has been that this has not been a major issue, and in fact the overall performance has been nothing short of excellent. There is ample connectivity on the back of the set,and a set of inputs on the front. It accepts memory sticks, the menu is very intuitive, and due to having LCD, is relatively easy to handle.

I understand that this specific unit will be discontinued and replaced with another costing slightly more, and having some additional features which I do not readily recall. Point is depending on what you are willing to pay, should you be sitting on the fence, you may want to go ahead and take the leap. This is my second Sony WEGA, and I have yet to be disappointed in the least.

Lastly, the set does accpet DVI cableing.

Strengths:
overall performance, styling, and features

Weaknesses:
None yet

This TV worked for 3 weeks. Do a web search for Sony Grand Wega problems before you buy. This is the most expensive doorstop I've ever bought.
