Price Paid:  $2999.00 from 1-888camcorder.com

Summary:
Simply put, "The Samung HL-P5685w is the projection DLP TV all others will be compared to."

Strengths:
I have compared about 5 or 6 Projection TV’s to it within the $4k to $5k price range including the Mitsubishi 525
The color, contrast, brightness and sharpness is nothing short of fantastic right out of the box with the HL-P5685w. At night I find it a bit more pleasing turning down the contrast.

This TV has more than enough contrast and brightness to overcome even the brightest rooms. When the channel is switched to HD Channel on my Dish network, the detail is so pronounced, if I didn't no any better, I could swear I was viewing a TUBE HD SET, It is that good even at 5 feet from the screen! Much better than most of the places I went to see this set at before I bought it on line.

There is also a six color adjustment with a three position slider bar.

The sound from the side speakers was above average and much better than my older Mitsubishi 37” Tube set speakers.

The Screen is a non-Glare type that is very pleasing to the eye in both lit and non-lit room.

I can highly recommend this High Definition TV to any of my friends..

However, when purchasing any Projection TV, It wouldn’t be a bad Idea to get a hold of an Ionic Breeze or any air filter unit to catch any dust particles before entering the inside of the TV via the non-filtered air in-port on the rear of the TV. I found The Ionic Breeze on E-bay for 60% off the refurbished units.
