Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $1799.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
I purchased the PCL5415R from Best Buy over 9 months ago. I had an audio problem in less than a month. Samsung was contacted and sent out a repairman to swap out a board. After this was done I still had the original problem and now the Perfect Focus didn't work. The repair shop picked the TV up and brought it back 4 times. Now the convergance was off. So I contacted Samsung again. They said they would send me another TV and upgrade it for all the problems I had. Samsung did send me another TV... the wrong TV. Finally, the "new" one came and low and behold the picture was slanted and once again Perfect Focus did not work. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Nine months later I still have a TV that doesn't work correctly and Samsung is doing nothing about it. From what I've heard from the repair technicians is that Samsung's HDTV's are not serviceable.

Strengths:
TV looks good but if you ever need service, especially from Samsung, your going to need a great deal of patience.

Weaknesses:
Reliability, Samsung's "cuss"tomer service

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $1850.00 from Sears

Summary:
I went looking for a 40-inch HDTV and bought this instead because the picture looked every bit as clear as the smaller sets. Four months later I haven''t had a minute''s regret. The picture is sharp and the colors knock your socks off. I didn''t think projection TVs were competitive picture wise -- let alone as good or better. Live and learn. I was also afraid a 54-inch screen would be too big in a 15x25 room. Two weeks later, it seemed just about right.

Strengths:
Picture, good sound, easy-to-use remote.

Weaknesses:
None that I''ve seen.

Similar Products Used:
Samsung 21-inch computer monitor

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
