Summary:
The television had part of the screen go black after only a few months use. I waited one month to get the part in. Now the receiver has been in for repair over a month. RCA is impossible to get in touch with a person to speak with. Their authorized repair shop in Denver will not give me the name or phone number of anyone at RCA/Thompson to call. DO NOT BUY AN RCA PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT QUALTY OR SERVICE.

Absoluetly the worst customer service. Unreasonable wait time on repair parts. Unreasonable amount of needed repairs on new products, hence....EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY.

Summary:
rca hd52w140 puechased tv in Aug.03, on 02-01-04 saw white sparks coming from the rear of the tv also smelled smoke. I had purchased 4 yr warr. Called for service and was told that this is a common problem. Service man ordered parts. Parts will not be in for 30 days due to back orders and this common problem with this model. My tv is dowwn for 45 days and still may be a fire hazzard. HELP !

Summary:
This television is HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS TELEVISION. This TV caught on fire not once, but twice!! RCA does not want to help their customers and when they did replace this TV with a new one...the new one did the EXACT SAME THING!! If I wasn't home, my house could have burned down. RCA is now trying to pay me off with an embarrassing offer. They do not work to help their customers and their service is TERRIBLE! I wouldn't buy this TV again if RCA paid me to take. DO NOT BUY!!!
