Your PC crashed, the copier ate your presentation, and your boss is making you work all weekend. When a stressful workday has you down, unwind in front of RCA's 61'' Projection TV. Even if you don't know anything at work, with Guide Plus+ Gold, you'll at least know what's on TV while 2-Tuner Picture-in-Picture won't force you to decide between 2 shows. And with Velocity Scan Modulation & 3-Line Digital Comb Filter, the picture quality will be so real, you'll forget where you are. Talk about bliss!
Summary: This is my first projection TV and I have to say I am impressed. I researched many models from low end to high end HDTV ready models.
I chose a traditional model over an HDTV model as in Canada HDTV OTA is some years away and in satellite it is limited to a few channels only. This TV will do until the technology catches up.
The picture is bright and clear, better than a friend's 3 yr old Proscan (which is also an RCA product).
All in all, I am very satisfied. Due to RCA notoriety, I opted for the extended service plan that will cover me for six years.
Strengths: Picture, clarity. Best bang for the buck.
Weaknesses: Guide plus looks nice, but is not available in Canada OTA where I live. Useless to me. Sound could be better.

Summary: Since my crappy Magnavox gave up on me (only after 6 years of iffy performance at best)and it was too expensive to get it fixed, I decided to bite the bullet and look for something else (as an upgrade) if I could find the right deal, Well, overall, I did get a great deal considering I paid only $2400 CAN (incl. a new Toshiba 5 DVD carousel thrown in as a promo)!
The picture quality (color, tint, brightness, sharpness, etc.) is simply OUTSTANDING, even compared with the bigger names, which Future's show room had plenty of. A friend of mine, who has a 5 year old 61" Sony XBR admitted he preferred my picture for its great clarity. One of my brothers recently spent over $3000 for a 43" Hitachi HDTV ready projector and my picture, even if it's not HDTV, compares very favorably to his (if not better), putting the screen size aside.
On the audio side, the TV sound is average but OK by me, since I'm primarily using my 100Watts X 5 Yamaha Dolby Digital/DTS sound system with a top notch speakers combination that makes for a great home cinema experience (specially concerts).
If you're looking for a screen projector over 60" with a great bang for your buck, do yourself a favor and check this beauty out!
Strengths: Excellent quality/price value! Exceeded all my expectations even after a serious comparison in Future's well stocked showroom!
Weaknesses: Guide+ doesn't work with my digital cable box model

Summary: What attracted me to this tv was is picture it produced compared to the others in it's class. I play with the RCA along with the others by playing A bugs life via component video connections, to see what tv was going to show the best picture. I found myself going back to the RCA every time, it just was more accurate in my opinion. Also did a s-video test on it since it's going to be hook up to a sattelite box, it shined once more. The RCA has a excellent 3-line digital comb filter that really helps the picture as well, you can't see the scan line flicker as much as I could see on the others including my old 52" Zenieth. The price I paid was great for a 61", all i have to say is great job RCA! Go and check one out if you are not looking for a HD TV just yet later.
Strengths: Excellent Piture, color saturation, and menu setup.
Weaknesses: Guide plus does not work with sattelite just cable & on air programming.
