Summary:
I purchased this TV in 1996. Within two years after purchase there were some problems with the remote which was replaced free of charge by RCA. There were also power problems with the TV turning on and off after warm-up. This was due to a defective part which was replace free of charge by RCA. No problems since.

Strengths:
Very clear picture. Good sound. Easily viewed from the side, from as close as 3 feet as well as from the front. on-screen menu is easy to use and intuitive.

none in my opinion

Summary:
Firstly, the remote gave problems. I had to return it to the store. I got approx. 2 years of fair service, then endless problems with the picture and power (on & off). It has been to the repair shop about seven times already. After the last repair, I got fed up. The warranty is up, so I have a large grey elephant sitting in my living room.
