Summary:
The Poneer has a the best picture of its competitors but really rocks in High defination.

Strengths:
I looked at all the sets for a year and ended up purchasing the Pioneer 58". I have it hooked up to a high defination decoder and the 1080I picture is just amazing. The colors are so sharp and brillent.All I need now is for NBC to get up to speed as both ABC and CBS broadcast prime time in HD.The sound quality is Average for a TV set, but that is why we buy the receivers isnt it.I have this set hooked up to an Onkyo THX receiver and s series JBL speakersand a Sony progressive DVD player ( Again the DVD picture on the Pioneer is almost 3d it is so clear!)

Weaknesses:
Although not a weakness, a regular digital program looks better on the Pioneer 58" than the list of other sets I looked at,the digital picture looks Blah when compared to what the Pioneers does best-display's an amazing HD picture.
