Review 1 of 10

Price Paid:  $6300.00 from Online

Summary:
I have had this TV for over a year now. Upgrade from a 27 RCA ProScan 1992 model. This is the absolute best RPG that I have ever seen. I've compared this TV to many other "top line" models from, Mitsu, Sony & Toshiba. The main difference is COLOR & CLARITY! Yellow is yellow and red is red, even in the stores, I can't wait to have ISF come calibrate it! Brilliant! The finish is absolute magnificent.

Strengths:
BIG All...Especially, CINEMA WIDE! Multiple component in.

Weaknesses:
BIG Cats jump on it and mar the finish. You'll also have to sit at least 10 feet back so you don't see any lines. NO DVI or Firewire IEEE 1394.

Review 2 of 10

Price Paid:  $5000.00 from Domes Audio/Video St

Summary:
This is the best RPTV out there. I'm a Sony man but when I saw this TV at Domes Audio/Video store I was sold out and I got to have this TV to replace the old 1992 32" inch Sony Trinitron sitting in my family room. I hooked this TV direct via the component video using 2M Audioquest Cinema YIQ2 component cable through Sony DVPNS700 progressive scan DVD player. When I played Monster Inc. I was surprised and could not believe the color it was putting out, so vivid and so vibrant, it was an awesome picture. There are no artifacts and I don't see any chroma bugs. I set the tv to Full, adjusted and tweaked the convergence and multi-point convergence, set the DVD player to widescreen (16x9 aspect). What I got was an awesome picture, I felt like I was in a movie theater due to that 64 inch wide screen. Now my 32 inch Sony looks like a little toy after I got used to this big screen. 5000 USD is worth the money and before I had it deliver it was ISF calibrated for free (that was about $340 bucks I saved). The customer service is great at Domes Audio/Video store (thanks Bill Jenkins and to store owner Lee). I was thinking about getting a plasma tv but the prices are outrageous for a 42 inch plasma TV, so I decided to go ahead and get this 64 inch tv. Now my family room looks more luxurious due to the addition of this tv. The finish on the cabinet alone is an added bonus. That glossy black really shines. I highly recommend this RPTV to everyone. I have to watch my favorite DVDs (Matrix, Gladiator, Toy Story 1&2, Fifth Element, etc.) again and again with this tv. My set up: Pioneer Elite Pro-720hd TV Sony DVPNS 700 dvd player with AQ YIQ2 Component Cable Denon 3801 Receiver(great receiver) Marantz CD6000OSE CD player Paradigm Studio 20 front speakers Paradigm Studio Center Channel speaker Paradigm ADP-170/ADP-70 rear/back surround speakers Paradigm PDR-10 subwoofer Panamax 5100 line conditioner/surge protector Audioquest Sidewinder/Copperhead interconnects Acoustic Research pro series 12 gauge speaker cables (all around)

Strengths:
Superb picture, nice sound, big screen, glossy black cabinet with gold stripe.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Sony 32", Sony 20", JVC 19" televisions.

Review 4 of 10

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Your Home Custom AV

Summary:
Though it is expensive, it is the best RPTV on the market. My set was manufactured Mar ''02 and does not have the S-Video issue. The picture is great, Hi-Def is breathtaking, the cabinet is beautiful.

Strengths:
Picture quality out of the box! I can''t imagine how good it will look when I have it calibrated after break-in! Superb stretch modes.

Weaknesses:
It is expensive, but that is, of course, relative.

Review 5 of 10

Price Paid:  $7200.00 from Paradyme

Summary:
Unbelievable contrast and color reproduction. No other rear projection TV comes close, other then Mitsubishi''s flagship DLP projectors (but at double the price). Verry easy to configure and lots of options to tweak. Works fantastic even in bright rooms and day time (with out the Lenticular Screen). Lenticular Screen is a joke, turns the tv into a mirror practicaly, recommed not to mount it unless your room has no windows or alot of light reflecting surfaces. Go get one today and enjoy.

Strengths:
Fantasticly rich color, verry defined image, superb contrast for a projector.

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
