Summary:
I searched long and hard for a rear prjection TV that would not only suit my needs now but also in the future.
Wide screen was the only option for me that would complement DVD films and also suit Digital Broadcasts.
The philips was able to be viewed in many aspect ratios covering all film formats.
S Video gain is excellent, although I would have prefered a component connection, this is not available on the european models, they are all scart connectors, no good for our part of the world.
The digital quality is unbelievable in 100hz, and the viewing angle is very wide, no problems for the big audience
Best thing I done with the TV Room

Strengths:
Several viewing modes and a very advanced remote control with many fuctions

Weaknesses:
When viewed in 4:3 aspect ratio the side bars are in a grey colour, this would have been easier on the eyes if it were in Black
No picture in Picture
