Strengths:    VERY GOOD PICTURE. QUALITY. PIP. V-CHIP. SOUND.

Weaknesses:    NONE.

Bottom Line:
I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS BIG SCREEN TV. I LOOKED AT THE MITSUBISHI, PIONEER, RCA AND SONY. I PICKED THIS ONE BECAUSE IT ALSO CAME WITH THE PROTECTIVE SCREEN ALREADY. MITSUBISHI, YOU HAD TO ORDER THAT SEPARTELY. GOT A REAL GOOD DEAL ON THE SET. NO PROBLEMS AND I DON'T EXPECT ANY. VERY SATISFIED.

Strengths:    good value, great color, protective screen

Weaknesses:    no component input (RGB)...this is not so bad cause in reality I can't tell the difference between svideo and component anyway...it's so minor..big deal

Bottom Line:
This is an excellent unit. For the price it's top's you get a nice protective screen, 51 inch projection with excellent color and audio. To compliment the experince Get a nice A/V surrond sound dolby logic 5.1 sound system and a decibelmeter use an avia calibration DVD and your in bussiness.
No use wasting your money on high priced sets...the NTSC,DVD signals suck...with 480 lines verticall (525 tops i think) and max 10xx lines horizontally the dvd signals or satelite just suck.
In 7 years when HDTV is commonplace (I hope) then go buy a nice HDTV plasma screen for peanuts. Use your brain and save your money. Unless it's burning a hole in you pocket in which case you can send it to me. Be frugal and be happy.

Similar Products Used:   Toshiba has a slightly better picture but it's 1 inch smaller.
It costs more money cause the protective screen is seprate.
Is it worth the extra money...only if your really picky in which case go buy a high end sony
so you can sit and wait for REAL HDTV and tell your friends how much money you spent on a sony to get a slightly better picture. Overall these rear projections really suck because NTSC is an old protocol designed for 20 inch CRT's not 50 inch plus!!
