Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $2477.00 from Tweeter

Summary:
Superb picture quality on HDTV broadcasts on cable & HDTV Antenna. Movies played via my Denon 1600 progressive DVD player are mind blowing! You must see Monsters Inc to experience the best picture experience available. Movies that I've watched several times before on Analog TV now appear as if I'm at a movie theater. Mitsu's Net Command makes switching easy, easy, easy...(once you figure it out). Always be sure to check out Tweeter's Customer appreciation Days, they regularly offer approximately 10% off their regular prices when this sale runs.

Strengths:
Picture clarity decent sound Colors..wow!

Weaknesses:
regular cable TV signal, Yuck!!!!! but that's expected.

Similar Products Used:
Toshiba, Sony, & Panasonic equivalents were tested, but no comparison to Mitsubishi.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Yes yes yes. You haven't seen the "light" until you've seen prog scan dvd on latest Mitsubish platnum series projection HD TV. We just got one and My eyeballs just about popped out. I was testing it with 5th element. When they did close up of LeeLoo's face i could count every blemish on her face. THe detail and color are STUNNING. I repeat STUNNING AHHHHHH, Also check out Blade 2 on the mitsubish --->foams at the mouth and passes out! Downside is that it's got all the latest wizbang so it's kinda pricy right now. Secondly, it's not all the great for watching regular non anamorphic programs(i.e. regular sh!t). Lastly It's Achilles Heel is it's tendency to burn images onto the tube permenently. It even comes with warning that you shouldn't watch too much of TV programs that sport station logos on the bottom right corner. So phospher must be really delicate. It produces absolutely STUNNING HDTV and DVD image. Downside is phospher burn and crappy regular TV image. When i mean crappy, I MEAN crappy pukish image. Damned if you do damned if you don't........

Strengths:
absolutely positively stunning gorgeous glorious picture from HD, DVD and other high quality signal source.

Weaknesses:
Prone to phospher burn. Utter crap regular TV picture quality. Cannot cope with 4:3 ratio image.

Similar Products Used:
none by far mitsu has the best pic.

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
