Price Paid:  $1400.00 from Anderson's TV

Summary:
This TV was very good to me. The internal power or on/off component just died on me over the weekend and thought I'd write a nice little obituary for it.

Bought the TV in the beginning of 2000, and it's been moved 4 times. Never had any issues other than a quick manual adjustment of the convergence after each move. DVD's looked vibrant through the component inputs, DirecTV was solid through the s-video. Never gave me any grief until the night it died...

Problem: Would start to power on and off on it's own, then pop, fizzle, smell of burning plastic, then nothing. May she rest in piece.....

Strengths:
Easy to use control and remote. Internal menus fine.

Component Video in for DVD sharp and vibrant.
S-Video adequate for analog signals off cable and DirecTV.
Convergence holds fine with no drift once setup correctly.

Weaknesses:
Contrast in bright daylight. "good" black levels, not "great".
Standard TV... Oldschool.. No EDTV or better resolution...
