Summary: Purchased this TV 2 years ago, everything was great
Strengths: Good picture, HD was amazing, sound excellent!
Weaknesses: Made our final payment on this TV this month, then the Light Engine went! It's over $1,000 to fix, this shouldnt happen on a 2 year old TV, very unreliable! No more Hitachi for us.

Summary: Burnt pixels at 16 months...no committment to the product by the retailer or the manufacturer. Hitachi shareholders are the losers. No more Hitachi anything for me thanks.
Strengths: For six months the picture was perfect. Sound is very good.
Weaknesses: Pixels and from what I understand can not be fixed...my burnt ones are in the middle of the screen.
Similar Products Used: Buy Sony or Panasonic. Better service, better product.

Summary: this t.v. is perfect!!! i've had the 60v500 and it was really good. but the 60v710 has the most features,the clearest colors,and the sound is second to none! if your looking for a integrated hd with the highest quality sound and colors, this t.v. is the one!
