Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Amazing picture, great sound, easy to calibrate. These are some of the many qualities that Hitachi managed to add to this superb HDTV rear projection marvel.I read a lot and visit lots of places before my puurchase and everywhere i went every salesman agreed on one thing the S and T series rule!Based on that i got myself a 57TWX20b and i awe at the beauty of it.Really if you re looking for a good buy consider the TWX trut me you ll love it!I got it for 4,700 $/canadian at Stereo plus what comes to about 2,800 u.s. For the performance it gives i call it a bargain...

Strengths:
Amazing picture, two remote, nice looking cabinet, many connections, lots of convenience features, lots of picture aspects(6),two way speakers and i could just go on and on....

Weaknesses:
none yet...

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I purchased this model after reading many reviews on HT bulletin boards and several magazine reviews of the SWX/TWX line. I like the fact that the TV had souch good image quality out of the box and improved during break in. Image qulaity of this widescreen TV is second to no other HD RPTV including the Pioneer Elite series. Convergence can be adjusted manually or with magic focus. The set is the same as the 57SWX except it has a better reflective screen for rooms that must suffer lots of ambient light during daylight hours. This improves contrast during these situations. It also has faux marble side panels on the front that give it a classy look in my opinion. menu is very user friendly/easy to navigate and once you use AVIA to tweak contrast, brightness, color level to account for the red push that is endemic to most all RPTV you will be very happy with the result. The TV looks as good as some RPTV that have been ISF calibrated. I think HItachi has the most bang for the buck with this series of SWX/TWX RPTV. Add a sat HD STB to handle stretch/ of standard material and it is a dream. HD is awesome.

Strengths:
Image quality as good as the Pioneer elite for lots less cash

Weaknesses:
The stretch modes are reportedly not as good as soem other brands however this is negated with the use of an HD STB.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
