I love my TV it came wiith free stand and lamp. I save about 600 dollars on this items. Incretible buy.

I did purchase a Warranty program by GE 167 dollars a year including parts and labor "No lmaps" just incase something goes wrong.

Tip: Get one of those Univesal 300 dollars LED Screen remots and you will
have a grate experience.

About the channels been to slow: Only on the TV but hen I have my recive connected, I dont have any issues with slow channels changes.

Weaknesses:
It takes some space at home, but is Ok.

Remote control is ugly.
Lamp is expensive 400 dollars - change it every 4000 hrs
Must get an extended warranty plan.

Price Paid:  $2000.00 from UEC web

Summary:
55 inch DLP TV by Hitachi

Strengths:
picture quality is great- i use mine as my computer monitor

Weaknesses:
Lamps cost $400-$800 and have to be replaced every 4000 hours (~1-2 years) Also the viewing modes (wide screen, full, fill, etc) are not all available for every input. For example, with PC RGB input you can't use fill. Long delay between changing channels.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
The DLP TV has excellent color and is very crisp when tuned to a HDTV channel. The screen is quite viewable from the sidelines of a room. The major costly disappointment is the lamp has needed to be replaced at about every 1500 hours. The set is well ventilated. This is a very expensive television and it performs well, but be aware that replacement lamp units are around $700 and 1500 hours is not a lot of TV viewing.

Strengths:
Sharp, crisp picture. Great viewing from all parts of a room.

Weaknesses:
DLP lamp unit lasts only about 1,500 hours and costs $700 to replace. The manual says it should last around 4,000 hours. Hitachi has no explanation.
