Strength:

Balanced sound that's very clean. Suitable for surrounds, either in direct or dipole mode but as fronts unless you use them with a sub, they do decent for music. Actually for music these are the best sounding out of other HT speakers of the same price range.

Weakness:

Lack of bass when used as fronts but it's designed for integration with a sub. Highs can be more crisp but it's really a matter of preference.

Very unusual design that's very versatile depending on your room configuration. The sound while it doesn't excel in anything is well balanced and very clean. I read somewhere that the guys who made these in Pioneer were from Polk and they had a goal to make a speaker with the least amount of cabinet vibration or something like that. I think they've achieved that goal.
