Bottom Line: This really is a great sub, perfect for home theater, at this price. I also own the impact 10 and both have that nice velodyne sound, that alot of us love (you know what I'm talking about) that has made this company famous. Alot of named brands put out subs in this price range that are one note wonders. Not Velodyne, They always have interesting, bass sound quality. I've owned a few other velo's.. so thats why rated 4 stars. Actually would like to rate it 4.5. In reality 5 is a perfect sub. And while this sub is the perfect HT sub, for the money. More power would have put this sub in a different price range, and a close 5. I'm very happy with the sound, and quality of this sub, shakes the whole house, with authority, It's a little loose with detailed music like jazz, but with metal, and bass heavy rap, this sub is definatly in its element. Its ported, and while i'm not a big fan of ported subs, this sub is quite tight, and anxious for whatever I throw at it. BOTTOM LINE, If you want a nice sub that will bring a smile to your face, and sounds great with almost everything... I tested this sub, and it got down to a solid 25hz in a corner.Good Luck.
