Description: The Distortion Limiting System (DLS) subwoofers consists of three models: the DLS-3500 with an 8 driver and 160 watt RMS/350 watt dynamic power amplifier, the DLS-3750 with a 10 driver and 175 watt RMS/375 watt dynamic power amplifier, and the DLS-4000 with a 12 driver and 200 watt RMS/400 watt dynamic power amplifier. The key feature of the DLS series is Velodynes exclusive Distortion Limiting System technology that significantly improves the subwoofers performance by limiting audible amplifier distortion and controlling the driver excursion. The result is subwoofers that reproduce music and home theater with a fraction of the audible distortion found in competitive products. This exclusive DLS technology increases the detail and definition of these new subwoofers without sacrificing output or dynamic impact.

Summary:
Amazing sub @ a wonderful Price. I have had this unit for less than a month now. We purchased it for our 1st home theater system. All I can say is WOW. It is great! I am only running the volume on it at 50%. We got a great price on this sub since it was on sale @ our local tweeter store. At this time Velodyne is the only sub I will use for home theater systems.

Strengths:
Great for small to medium size rooms. Very clean bass, easy to setup and use. It is the best value for the size/money/sound quality.

Weaknesses:
Can be a little boomy, but that could very well be the location in my room.
