from yard sale!! Summary: I just picked this sub up at a yard sale for 40 dollars and it was a great deal! i was a bit skeptical when i read the brand because I'd never heard of it but then the guy said crank it and i did... This was outside and it still shook my chest so i bought it right away. Once i got it home i hooked it up and thought it was a bit weak but my system wasnt set right and once i got a good signal sent to the woofer it was insane. I switched off my surrounds, turned it up and things started vibrating like crazy and my parents felt it downstairs. great buy, sounds great too. Just by looking at the port at the bottom you can tell this thing kicks...i can stick my arm inside it!
I'd reccomend this for anyone that wants a nice large piece to add to their system and wouldnt mind knocking some pictures off walls in the process. Not for the apartnemt dweller... not so much in size as in db level though... Strengths: Pleanty of room-shaking bass
auto on/off
speaker post inputs/outputs AND RCA in/outs
level and crossover adjustment
good looks - nice coating and subtle grille, nice driver.
nice sturdy legs- poky and good for carpet
guests will probably be suprised at it's size Weaknesses: large, not for the space-saver unless you turn it down and use it as a coffee table. if you actually use it though the stuff you set on it will likely fall off.
legs are beefy but cone shaped and pointed - might not be the best for card surfaces, but a small bit of padding or rubber underneath would eliminate any doubts - however i have not tried it on hard surfaces. I would only worry if you have a nice floor and dont want little marks made by the vibrations.
Similar Products Used: first stand alone woofer... but i can tell its good
