Performs the job of subwoofer admirably. It reproduces the feeling you get from the bass drum and timpani at a concert, which speakers alone cannot supply. It fills out the sound of the double basses, and the lower registers of the piano and organ.
I have never heard a similar sized subwoofer so I have nothing to compare it with, but it is hard to imagine how it could be any better. Strengths:
Great value.
Solid construction.
Designed to complement Tannoy Saturn main speakers, which supply bass from 30Hz anyway, so regardless of which speakers you have, you won't need a larger sub than this. Weaknesses:
Makes various objects around the room vibrate alarmingly!
Weighing in at 35kg, it is tricky to move around.
