Review 1 of 37

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Good HT product, leaves a little to be desired for music and in the aesthetics department, very large sub. The Hsu TN1220 and VTF3 will certainly outperform this sub (they do cost a little more though).

Strengths:
good output

Weaknesses:
a slight lack of upper bass clarity gigantic, water heater look

Similar Products Used:
Velodyne, Hsu, Rel, Mirage

Review 2 of 37

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
SVS is the bass authority and with good reason. 2 notches from 0 and the woofer is thumping hard. Perhaps my Krell equipment has something to do with that =) Waiting for SVS PC+ series to come out end of June. Email me if you are interested in buying this current unit. HSU does not even come close with what SVS has in store for its consumers! MY HT: http://www.geocities.com/chinje2000/ht.htm

Strengths:
looks, accurate and punchy bass, high waf factor, customer service

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
hsu vtf-2, jbl psw-d112

Review 3 of 37

Price Paid:  $649.00 from www.svsubwoofers.com

Summary:
I''''ve had the all new SVS 20-39PCi sub for about 2 weeks now, and my jaw hits the floor everytime I use it! I plan to write an extended review in a few months, but I''''m so excited about this piece that I just had to get my thoughts down on paper (e-paper). It''''s just the best bass I''''ve ever heard/felt!! See Below:

Strengths:
-Big and Beautiful -Tight, Commanding Bass -Bass That Never Strains -Hi-Output Bass -Clean Bass -LOW-LOW Octave Bass -Price:Performance -Easy Setup, Excellent Owner''''s Manual -Excellent Packaging -Customer Service

Weaknesses:
-Creaky Wall Studs -Squeaky Ceiling Tiles -Traumatized Dog

Similar Products Used:
Velodyne 810X (actually, it''''s not similar at all!)

Review 4 of 37

Price Paid:  $800.00 from online

Summary:
Purchased two of these for $1600. Was hapy but not 100% happy. Purchased a velodyne HGS 18 and it blew them away with cleaner, tighter, deeper bass. The wife didnot like the looks, but they do have very high output. A tad boomy on some movies in my room where the velo was not. Build quality is good, but not anywhere near the league of an HGS, sunfire, ect. One SVS couldnot compete with my Sunfire SIggie, but two did beat it, but at about the same price.

Strengths:
Price

Weaknesses:
Size, Looks

Similar Products Used:
Velodyne HGS-18, Sunfire Signature

Review 5 of 37

Price Paid:  $775.00 from http://www.svsubwoofers.com/

Summary:
Best sub for under $2000...bar none. The only thing that can beat this sub would be to add a second one for another $775 to have mindblowing base. I had a Velodyne CT-150 before which was a "good" sub for the price. I only paid $175 more for this sub and it is BETTER than a Velodyne HGS series sub (which runs for around $2K!!!) Nothing more could be said about this sub that hasn't been said...purchase one and watch The Phantom Menace with it...But brace yourself and your house down...it may shake it from the foundation!

Strengths:
Tight base

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Velodyne, Cambridge Soundworks
