Review 1 of 22 , from Aus, Sydney

Price Paid:  $100.00

Summary:
Great Value....Just enough bass to fill your room...

Sometimes boomy, but the phasing and its value can make up for that....

Strengths:
Great value, good bass for small living (HT) area....Low Cut off frequency levels 50Hz and below

Weaknesses:
A bit boomy at times, but a little bit of tweaking will solve it

Review 2 of 22 , from Florida

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Sam's Club

Summary:
I bought this sub with a combination of 5 cube drivers. i will say, that my first intention was to use it in my home theather, but after listen it, i realize that maybe, i hasnt spend my money the right way. Well i have use it since then in many configuration but non satisface my. i will tell, that the last thing i do with the system is put it in mi living room because it a small place and sound ok, i said OK!, not fine or great! i give it a 5 star on price becuase i have to take a complete full theather speakers system!

Strengths:
Its fine for small rooms.

Weaknesses:
Its not a real sub.

Review 3 of 22 , from Beckley, WV, USA

Price Paid:  $149.00

Summary:
Obviously this is not audiophile gear here. I use this with an old Denon 1700 I have hooked up to my pc (equipped w/SB 5.1 mp3+ soundcard) with some KLH Platinum bookshelf/satellites. To that end - game playing, casual listening to cds and mp3s, it is adequate. It definitely makes its presence heard.

There's no way your gonna get house party or theatre sound levels out of this unit and you shouldn't expect it. That's what the Paradigm SW and Klipschs in the living room are for.

FYI, as stated in weaknesses, it peaks at about 55Hz-I suspect its port is tuned for a peak somewhere in there, then falls off very rapidly below 45-50Hz. Sony states it will go down to 28Hz but if you can hear it there, it's sure to be too loud at higher frequencies.

Strengths:
Price, small size

Weaknesses:
Falls off below 45Hz after peaking at 55Hz, not suited to loud playing

Paradigm PSW 2200, KLH ASW110

Review 4 of 22 , from Hong Kong

Summary:
I bought this after I got JVC desktop system, it plays well, but I have to set tone to "0" and do not use any bass boost, then you'll get the most for this combination, since it has high cut, level, and phase control, I can tune it carefully to perfectly "connect" the cross-over point, it plays good at normal/relax level, but since the output is just 60 watts, it may be hard to work with loud music, though I have no problem to connect to another home theater system and turn the volume up even to make you ear pain...

Strengths:
Perfect for desktop/micro systems

Weaknesses:
if you play for high volume, opt for SA-WM40

Review 5 of 22 , from Detroit ,Mischagin

Price Paid:  $99.00 from ebay.com

Summary:
This is a great budget sub it has verry good smooth bass i like it mostly for Home Theater use.
If i were to compare this thing againts the Sony SA-WM40 i would say that the 305 is better it has tighter bass cleaner responce but the M40 will play a bit deeper.
Overall i think this sub is a great value.

Weaknesses:
none
