I was looking at other speaker reviews and was curious what the reviews for my Rythmik sub were and was shocked there were none! I bought the amp and speaker and built the cabinet based on supplied plans. Since I have a full woodshop and build electric guitars, the build was fun and not a big deal. If you didn't have that experience, it would be tougher but not impossible. I'd say its an intermediate woodworking project since you are building a bombproof box, and then doing cabinet grade veneering. For me it was worth it as the cost was within my price range if I did the building.

If you didn't ant to mess with building, the outright cost is still completely worth it. I am not kidding when I say, every single time my family watches a film, I say "how happy is everyone that I built that sub! holy crap!" and not because we were lacking sub.

This sub is a revelation. The servo feeds back, and cancels distortion. What you hear is fast, clean, and deep LFE. It comes from everywhere, you hear and feel it, it's absolutely transparent, organic and just wonderful. I will say that my home theater area is not huge (maybe 11 x 24), and if it were larger I would look towards two F12 or 15. But in our space, it doesn't break a sweat, and I've had neighbor kids OUTSIDE come to the door to ask what was happening. You know in the summertime, when there are thunderstorms with deep rolling thunder, so distant that you almost feel it rather than hear it? Have you ever been in an earthquake where the tremor was light and low and you wondered is maybe a truck drove by your building? THAT is the Rythmik. It makes me love watching films so much more, if I had it on my audio system I'd probably cry.

One of the other things that sold me was, the size of the cabinet. It's just downright tiny for a 12" sub.
