This is worth the price! As a drywaller, having a decent subwoofer is a great accomplishment to me.

Strength:

I would highly recomend the Q150, I did hav ean older version that hummed, which has now been replaced, with the new version, totally solved the humming problem. SEO Tampa

Weakness:

I doubt it's the best sub in the World but for the £385 I paid for it, I'm more than happy.

Strength:

The Q150E is only a little larger than the REL Quake, but it performs far better. I've used it for home theatre and it's fantastic. I'm currently using it in conjunction with my Hi-Fi speakers, and it opens up the music. Regards, Irving Concrete Company

Weakness:

Bass is not that powerful.

Strength:

Easy to integrate. Huge improvement to soundstage size and depth!

Weakness:

Slightly rubbery bass compared to putting the same driver into a better designed larger cabinet for the driver. I also have the REL B3, so I know!

Strength:

When broken in and setup properly (including gain/ volume- see comments in Weaknesses), this compact sub really filled in the ranges on my Eosone RSF 400 and B&W 602 S3. I use the recommended hi-frequency input with a Neutrik Speakon cable and crossovers were set just above the speakers' -3dB bottom end. Rest of equipment included NAD C350 amp (going to try Roksan Caspian next), Yamaha CDR-HT1000 source, and Straightwire Chorus interconnects. The bass is lively and tight then and makes the other speakers more revealing in high bass and midrange. Quite a value/ steal for the pittance i paid in a garage sale (price includes a new Neutrik cable and AC cord).

Weakness:

Not going to be as powerful as best 12” or larger sub. Then, there’s the notorious rattle . For me it was heard at every volume, so I did the free air woofer test... It was still there so it wasn’t the enclosure. Moving the cone by hand even a little elicited a metallic rattle so it was the voice coil on the OEM REL AX10 woofer. This was replaced and then it sounded heavenly.
