Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $169.00 from buy.com

Summary:
I cannot say much about subwoofers. That was my first sub. Of course I listen them in different stores. I did a lot of research about them. I didn't want to spend much money for sub because in my personal oppinion spend $500 for sub it's nonsense. It's not a TV. I still don't know why those subs so expensive - there is nothing special in them - 12' driver and 150 W simple amplifier and filter - ha - 150 for all that is reasonable price for me. So when I saw this deal Pinnacle 12' 150W amp and for 169 I thought it's perfect deal. Well to make long story short - i doesn't worth those money.

Strengths:
small size

Weaknesses:
weak, light.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $250.00 from E-Bay NEW IN BOX

Summary:
I WISH SOMEONE ELSE HAD BOUGHT ONE OF THESE AND POSTED REVIEWS. I SAW THIS ON E-BAY AND HAD A BUY IT NOW PRICE OF $250.00 AND I THOUGHT WOW A PINNACLE SUB FOR $250.00; BETTER GET IT QUICK. WELL I DID. THE FIRST ONE I RECEIVED MADE A COUPLE OF WEIRD SOUNDS AND THAT WAS IT. DOA! I E-MAILED THE SELLER AND SENT IT BACK. I RECEIVED ANOTHER ONE. OPENED IT UP AND SCREWED THE LITTLE SOLID BRASS FEET IN THE BOTTOM. THEY WOULD NOT TIGHTEN UP AND ARE MACHINED TO A POINT. NOT VERY GOOD FOR EXPENSIVE HARD WOOD FLOORS SO I DECIDED TO TAKE THEM BACK OUT. WELL THE INSERTS BACKED OUT OF THE HOUSING. I WILL MAKE NEW MOUNTING FEET LATER. YOU KNOW HOW WE ALWAYS HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE DRIVER. MISTAKE #2. THE CHEAP PLASTIC GRILL FRAME PROCEEDED TO BREAK IN THREE DIFFERENT PLACES. IT BROKE SO EASY THAT I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN GLUED BUT NO GLUE JUST CHEAP THIN PLASTIC. WELL I WILL MAKE ANOTHER FRAME LATER. THE DRIVER LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A PIONEER SPEAKER. WELL I WILL GET ANOTHER DRIVER LATER. I AM PRESENTLY RUNNING TWO SUBS ON MY HOME SYSTEM. THE ONE I GOT RID OF WAS AN INFINTY. I THOUGHT I WAS MOVING UP BUT I GUESS I'LL GET ANOTHER INFINITY LATER. THE SOUND IS BOOMY AND NOT AT ALL LIKE A DECENT SUB OUGHT TO SOUND. THE CONTROLS ARE GOOD AND IT LOOKS PRETTY FAIR WITH ITS BLACK VINYL FINISH. I REALLY DO NOT HAVE ANY FAITH IN THIS THING AND AM USING IT AT LOW LEVELS BECAUSE SOMETHING IN IT SEEMS TO BE VIBRATING. I WILL TAKE IT APART LATER. MY OTHER SUB IS A VERY MUCH UNDER RATED WHARFEDALE POWER CUBE DX-10. NOT LIKE ANY OF THE WHARFEDALES I HAVE SEEN IN THE REVIEWS. THIS THING IS SOLID WOOD AND BEAUTIFUL DARK CHERRY FINISH AND WITH IT'S 10" DRIVER IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS MUCH BETTER THAN THE PINNACLE. VERY DISAPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE PACKAGE.

Strengths:
PINNACLE NAME. IT IMPRESSES PEOPLE: TILL THEY ASK WHAT THAT VIBRATING SOUND IS.

Weaknesses:
