I bought this sub on Ebay for my second system, and I like it a lot. It is paired with a pair of Paradigm Monitor 3seMk3's crossed over at 80 hz on the high pass at my preamp and about 90hz on the sub. Playing music it is quick and accurate, not sloppy as some of the other reviewers have found. It could be electronic source, music or set-up but I think this is a nice sounding sub at a reasonable price new or used. With time spent on set up, it disappears well. Listening to all types of music, it sounds good, but I can't vouch for home theater. I might move it to my theater system, an post another review, but I don't think it would be too impressive compaired to a pair of SVS's. But in all fairness, this sub does a lot for it's size. Strengths:
Fast and accurate for music. Blends seamlessly with my Paradigm Monitor 3se's. Weaknesses:
Box is a bit large. non detatchable power cord is my biggest complaint. It can't cost two dollars more to add a IEC plug and cable. Similar Products Used:
SVS cylinders, HSU research boxes, a couple of homemade subs, and a bunch of car audio subs.
