Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $499.00 from Magnolia AV

Summary:
I oiriginally bought the Radius 360 as part of a Radius 90 5.1 set-up, but ultimately ended up returning it and getting the larger Radius 720 sub.

The 360 is attractive because of it's small size and beatiful finish, but really doesn't qualify as a true subwoofer. It is a powerful and tuneful little guy (within its range), but it has very limited output below 40 Hz (even though the specs say it can reach 27 Hz). Because of the limited low end, I would say that it is best for a music only system. It just doesn't have the low end weight to do justice to action movies.

If you want the best of both worlds though, and you have the expendable cash, go for the Radius 720 sub. It is just as articulate as the smaller 360, but it extends all the way down to a solid 25 Hz (real world). It is also capable of more output, making it a good fit for a medium sized room.

Strengths:
Nice and compact
Beatiful fit and finish
Powerful for its size
Good tight bass

Weaknesses:
Very limted low frequency extension (only plays down to about 40 Hz).

No, you can’t always get what you want. The number of loudspeakers surpassing the cost of a decent family sedan is staggering. Then there are speakers that cost as much as a house.
