Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $575.00 from Canuck Audio Mart

Summary:
This subwoofer seems to incorporate the muscial and the home theatre strengths all into one unit. The bass is tight and extends all throughout the room it is in. Whether I'm listening to Diana Krall or watching them storm the beaches of Normandy in Saving Private Ryan this particular sub seems to do it all. Listening to R&B or Rap the sub is unbelieveable in it's presentation. The 250 watt amplifier along with the 2 8" drivers have made Mission a clear winner here. I've owned several subs in my lifetime but never one that sounded this good and this tight. I'm sure you can spend money to buy more expensive ones and they may even give you a great sound but for the money I'd say this cannot be beat.

Strengths:
Cabinet Finish
Low Tight Audio Presentation
250W Amplifier section
LFE and Line imputs and Speaker in/out
Sound Quality is second to none in this price range

Weaknesses:
Very Large Footprint ( if that can even be called a weakness )
Unit is very hard to find and not many are giving them up (this may actually be a strength.)

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
