Review 1 of 1

Summary:
I thought I would do a review of this subwoofer because nobody else has. To start off with the design is a downfiring type with two 8" drivers so the bass is very fast and tight. It seems like a copy of a REL sub and it has the excellent cyrus amplifier built in. I got the sub for a great price so I have to give it a good score. This sub blows away the newer Mission subs and seems to be built in a higher quality. It is a very "musical" sub and it dosen't react unless its needed. If you can find this model around anywhere I would suggest you grab it because they don't make them like this anymore. I have the rosewood version and the craftmanship is outstanding. It blends very well with my front and rear speakers. The power is 100 or 150 watts depending on what literature you read and I have never had to turn it past 1/4 volume. It is great for both music! and movies over all I am very impressed.

Strengths:
excellent amplifier

Weaknesses:
none

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
