Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $1950.00 from Stage Sound

Summary:
This sub is from Mackie's active studio monitor series. No furniture quality here just basic black . The money is inside this puppy. When the music maters and not the finish know one can out perform this one . I tried B&W - M&K - JM Labs - Kef and the list goes on. It's delicate and subtle and extreamly intense. It performs solidly at 20hz and has great definition below 80hz. It doesn't make a muddy mush of the signal like most subs do. And makes my albums and sacd'come alive.

Strengths:
Killer bass in any format . THX Video or Hi-Fi. Tight bass and a LOT of it.

Weaknesses:
No finish options . No remote, but who need one.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
