Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Legacy Audio, Macung

Summary:
1000 watts and 2 incredibly built 15" drivers, WOW! I've never heard a subwoofer that could shake an entire house! I'm not kidding! I'm starting to worry that the tile grout in the kitchen will begin to break down as the entire floor actually moves! But besides having this capability, the LF Extreme provided the smoothest and tightest bass I have ever experienced and I have heard many a subwoofer as I have been involved in consumer electronics for over 20 years. It's an expensive sub, but well worth the money if its within your budget. Oh, did I happen to mention that the build quality and cabinetry are 2nd to none! Legacy Audio is old school when it comes to doing business. Their speakers are not assembled over seas. They are built right in Macungie, PA. per order(don't expect them to be in stock as all of their speakers are built to order and rigorously tested before being shipped). I highly recommend this subwoofer! Treat yourself, I assure you, you will not be dissapointed! If the LF Extreme is a little too high price wise, you may consider the Point One as it has similar qualities. I could go on and on about this sub, but I think you get the picture. I strongly suggest you visit their website www.legacy-audio.com

Strengths:
Power, Build Quality, Cosmetics, Bass Response, Electronic X-overs, Warrantee 5/3 years, etc., etc., etc...

Weaknesses:
Weight, 115 pounds(not a weakness, just thought I'd point this out)

Similar Products Used:
Velodyne, Infinity, Jamo, MTX, Energy

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
