Summary:
This Subwoofer is top-notch. I bet that you will not miss any note through the entire 200-28Hz low range spectrum that it represents. You'll recall every attendance to the cinema or concert for every single material you'll choose to enjoy but this time at your place and with all your majesty. For me; the search for the perfect subwoofer is over now and that goes forever. Some people think that they are able to hear the ultra low frequencies down to 20Hz, but I say It's nonsense because I have a 12 band equalizer/spectrum analyzer and experienced a couple of subwoofers (no need to mention names) claiming that they reach down to 20Hz and even to 15Hz, but when put into experiment, you can see the analyzer rarely reaches the 20Hz spectrum but you won't be able to hear them except with very sensitive ears and at very loud volume levels which is neither appropriate to your ears nor to your living space, so this subwoofer is more than adequate to even people that own a THX Ultra gear, It will rock the floor and shake the walls and windows of your entire house not only your living room. You have to hear it to believe it.

Strengths:
Everything. You really pay for what you get.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
