Review NaN of , from Pennsylvania

Summary:
I know this sub is cheap. If you just want a way to add cheap bass to your system, then this isn't a bad buy. If you really appreciate a clean sounding sub then please look at some other ones before you go for the cheap one. Currently, I am using a Polk PSW 350 which is leaps and bounds 1)more powerful, 2)cleaner, 3)plays deeper, than this Infinity. I only paid $290 for the Polk. Velodynes are good, but in my opinion, only with movie tracks. THey also get boomy with music and are kinda slow with fast bass. The Bostons are very good, but they are more expensive than I was looking for. When I heard the Infinity I was extremely disappointed. Also, with heavy bass tracks (i.e. rap, R&B, etc.), the Infinity bottoms out much quicker. Now, I am not really educated about the true meaning of the power rating of the Infinity, but I would suspect that it is a peak music power rating. The Polk I have looks modest on paper, at 100 watts, but this is an RMS rating. The peak is 265 watts. Its loud and clean at its peak.

Strengths:
Definitely its price, and on paper the amplification looks good, pleasing (not outstanding) looks.

Weaknesses:
Very boomy, not as powerful as the power rating suggests.

Review NaN of , from Ventura, California

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Harman Audio

Summary:
This subwoofer is very accurate compared to alot of different subs that I have listened to. It sounds spectacular in my dolby digital system. The neighbors always come to my house yelling and complaining that their windows rattle. I think that this sub has to be pretty darn good if it shakes my neighbors windows. I dont know why some of the other reviewers say that it sounds muddy because it is far from sounding muddy. Just have to position it right.

Strengths:
Price is spectacular. Very accurate and clear bass for both movies and music.

Weaknesses:
maxxes out a little faster than it should.

Review NaN of , from PAWTUCKET

Price Paid:  $399.00 from CIRCUIT CITY

Summary:
WHEN I BOUGHT THIS SUB I DID NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT AUDIO AND FREQUENCIES THAT A SUB WAS SUPOSE TO WORK.HELL THE DAMM THING SOUNDED GOOD AT CIRCUIT CITY.I USE IT 90%FOR MOVIES VIEWING AND THIS STILL ROCKS.MY ROOM IS SMALL AND I HAVE NO NEED FOR A BIGGER MORE EXPENSIVE SUB.I HAVE SOURCE TECH TOWER SPEAKERS FOR MY FRONTS AND THEY PUT ENOUGH BASS SO I RARELY IT FOR MUSIC.I STILL LIVE IN AN APARTMENT SO UNTIL I DON'T MOVE TO BIGGER HOUSE THIS BABY WILL BE THE BOTTOM END FOR NOW.$399 FOR 5 YEARS OF CHEAP BASS THAT'S NOT BAD.BUT IF YOU HAVE A LARGE ROOM AND LIKE MUSIC MORE THAN MOVIES I RECOMMEND A BETTER SUB ,PROBABLY A VELODYME.SPECIALY FOR THE PRICE IF'VE SEEN IT ON LINE FOR HALF PRICE I PAID FOR ,THIS SUB IS GREAT FOR A POOR GUY ON A BUDGET.I CAN'T COMPLAIN.GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES A SAID ABOVE A HAVE TO GIVE IT 5 STARS FOR VALUE AND 4 FOR THE PERFORMENCE

Strengths:
GOOD BASS FOR MOVIES,LOW COST

Weaknesses:
A LITTLE SLOPPY WITH MUSIC LISTENING,NOT AS FAST AND DEEP AS OTHER GOOD SUBS.BUT IF IS NOT TURNED UP TO HIGH IT WILL GET THE JOB DONE
