Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $89.00 from Parts Express

Summary:
This is a nice little sub. I bought this as an interum piece after I sold my Sunfire True. I hated the Sunfire so was a little gun shy to spring for another expensive sub. I have yet to buy another as this Dayton Audio sub has kept me satisfied. I am actually considering buying another. This sub does lack safistication and volume, but for $100 or so, you can't beat it. I recommend it. I think expensive subs are over-rated. Buy one or two of these cheap subs and be happy with the value.

Strengths:
Decent performance for an unbeleivably inexpensive price.

Weaknesses:
Won't rattle your windows but is certainly enough bass to fulfill your movie LFE requirements.

Similar Products Used:
Sunfire True.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
