Review 1 of 1

Summary:
Well, it's on sale, I told my wife. She must have really liked it, because she didn't want me to return it even though she got fired the next day.

The only sore spot is that SUBWOOFERS NEED REMOTES. Ideally, a 2 way that displays freq & volume settings on the remote. I'm tired of twisting knobs on the back that I can't see. There is a big difference between movies and CD's needed for max enjoyment, so put in 2 memories while you're at it.

Then put it all in an upgrade that I can switch out with my existing amp for about $250. Are you listening, Boston?

Strengths:
Tight bass & lots of it. Had a few cracks in the ceiling & the loose pieces fell on the floor, really.

Weaknesses:
Only 12 inch, won't go to the really low freq, but doesn't matter since the room is only 32 feet long & wouldn't acoustically allow a bigger woofer to operate lower anyway.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
