Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $105.00 from UBid

Summary:
This thing hums all the time. It works, but you can hear a hum if you sit within 5 feet of it. It's not my receiver since it occurs on two receivers that I have and other subs don't hum with those same receivers. I tried plugging it into the same outlet as the receiver and in different outlets. It always hums. When I try to move it, it hums really loud. I think Something is loose. I called BIC tech support and they wouldn't take it back. They gave me a suggestion for fixing it that included shielding with tin foil. Why am I fixing it? I still own it and use it, but I wish I'd bought something else.

Strengths:
Low cost.

Weaknesses:
Hums.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
