Summary:
I liked the sound of this sub, very nice and satisfying however play it for 5 or 6 hours straight and the amp dies, and you have to let it cool for up to fours before the sub plays again. Very disappointing.

Review 2 of 2

Summary:
You've read all the rave reviews of the Atlantic Technology 162 PBM powered subwoofer in Home Theater magazine. But what if you want something more than an 8" woofer? What if you have a larger listening room? What if you need something that is THX certified?
Look no further than to the Atlantic Technology 352 PBM subwoofer. It's got all the same features as the other models (the 162, 262), yet includes a 12" woofer and 200 watt amplifier, and is THX certified. It also incorporates a better driver and larger heatsink.

For the price this subwoofer is great. It's surprisingly musical when fed good music, yet you can really feel the T-Rex's pounding footsteps in Jurassic Park. When adjusted correctly, this sub blends with my Paragigm Titan speakers quite well. I've tried other subs and the boomy bass was too pronounced and obtrusive. With this 352 PBM, I find myself paying attention to the music, rather than focusing on just the bass. The bass is cleaner, not as noisy.

It's made in America and has a 2 year warranty. It has some neat features such as:

front led light so you can tell if it's on or off
front gain adjustment
auto-sense on/off-it turns itself on and off!
full complement of ins and outs so you can even bridge a second sub to it

Marantz MA-9S2 Reference Series Power Amplifiers Review

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
