Review NaN of , from New Orleans

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I couldn't disagree more with the reader before who seems to know little about speakers. Just because it says it handles up to a certain wattage doesn't mean you can crank it up as loud as you want. I am running 110 watts RMS into each speaker and they sound great. Given that the driver is only 4 inches, you should be changing the crossover point on your receiver or lowering the bass.

Speaks blow because of having too little power turned up loud that feeding them too much power.

Strengths:
Crisp and clear full sound.

Weaknesses:
Don't give them too much bass.

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Speakers are rated for 100Watts. Disagree. Melted both pairs with an Onkyo 65watts per channel reciever. Too bad tweeter is protected! Would be nice to have a resetable fuse to protect woofer.
The voice coil was completely removed from the cone. I mean GONE! Cone could not move. Polk has 5 year replacment warranty. Had both speakers replaced free of charge. Warning! owners if you don't have your original receipt, your out of luck on the replacements. fought like crazy to get them to be covered without one.

Strengths:
Small, light weight. Easy to mount anywhere.

Weaknesses:
Does not support recomended power.
I would use a 30Watt per channel amp, max!
