from Crutchfield.com Summary: The Bose FreeSpace 51's produce a very smooth, full range sound. They are not raspy, and are able to reproduce very adequate bass. Excellent separation, due to their 360 degree dispersion pattern. Compared to the "leading" commercial omnidirectional speaker manufacturer (TIC), they are far superior in sound (I tested against a pair of TIC GS6). Strengths: Very efficient. Excellent sound quality. Very smooth. Unobtrusive (when installed partially buried). Weaknesses: Outrageously expensive. Better target price (more acceptable to me) would be around $250-$299. Unfortunately, no comparable competition to drive prices down. Not sure if unit is fully resistant to insect infiltration. Similar Products Used: TIC GS6
