Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $110.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I bought these at the Open Box Table at Circuit City for $110.00. I wasn't thinking I'd get BOSE speakers at this price, but apparently, they were unused customer returns. I have them mounted under the eaves of my patio. I used Monster-Cable wiring, a Sony STR-DG500 receiver, and an RCA CD changer with it. Mine are white, but you can get them in black. I mounted them the way they're shown in the picture, so I could get the Tru-Space BOSE Surround Sound Technology. Overall, I wish I could have bought the 251'S, but these are a good deal! Imagine, me buying them for $110.00, when they retail for $275.00!

Strengths:
Good Treble, Good Mids, Weather-Resistance, Duarable, Not Heavy

Weaknesses:
Muddy Bass, Could Be Used With BOSE'S Acousti-Mass System.

Similar Products Used:
Sony STR-DG500, Monster-Cable Speaker Wiring, RCA CD Changer

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00 from nowhere

Summary:
If you want ultra high quality sound, get these speakers. These are such good outdoor speakers because they do not sound like outdoor speakers, they sound so much better. If you are in the market for indoor or outdoor speakers, get these.

Strengths:
Elegant Design, Extremely good sound, exceptional quality all around.

Weaknesses:
None that that I can possibly think of. Well, maybe, nahh

Similar Products Used:
251, Yamaha outdoor speakers (Which I also highly recommend) JBL-Ughh Please Please Please don't waste your money on JBL, the are really really bad for the money. For outdoor speakers your three best brands are Bose, Yamaha, & Athena.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
